Queensbury artist Kate Boyle paints portraits, studies, mosaics and is
developing a mixed media art installation to share stories of people
in the Adirondacks living with autoimmune diseases. Kate has also
designed and installed several murals in the area.
Kate owns and operates jrebeccastudio. In addition to being her
favorite place to paint, her studio is a salon for artists and other
interesting eccentrics to gather, explore and socialize. In 2009,
Kate’s work was exhibited in the Third Thursday Art Walk and LARAC’s
juried still-life exhibit at The Wood Theater, during Adirondack
Theater Festival.
Kate's art continues to be inspired by the locations she has traveled and the people she has met along the way. From the simplicity of a small,
brightly painted town in Guatemala, to the decorative wrought iron
found in New Orleans, her interest in architecture has fueled her love of travel. In 2011 she will make a return trip to Europe with friends and family to paint, live, LOVE and laugh.
As Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did
do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch
the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
